I am moving from a reseller-type environment to my own managed/dedicated server, and I had a question.
Currently, my reseller offers hosting for my own nameservers, ie. ns1.mydomain.com ns2.mydomain.com - If I move to my own server, I need to learn how to host these myself.
I am getting a Redhat 9 server with cpanel/whm installed. I will have full root access, and any advice/help would be greatly appreciated! Even just pointing me in the right direction would be fine, as I do have some experience with redhat, I've just never hosted nameservers before.
I have 5 dedicated IP addresses with the server, if this matters.
You just registar the name servers with your domain registar, using the ips that you get from dedicated provider, say like at namecheap you go to registar name servers it will show the ns1.domain already just assign them the ip's
