    Managed.com Questions

    Questions for users of Managed.com:

    1. If your server freezes, or requires a reboot, how do you do it and how long does it take?

    2. Is it possible to configure in CPanel the max Monthly usage so you don't go over the 1000 GB limit?

    3. If not, is it possible to limit the usage to say 375 kb/sec (which works out to 1000 GB / mo)?

    Thanks

    3. If not, is it possible to limit the usage to say 375 kb/sec (which works out to 1000 GB / mo)? Yes, but you will need your own script.

OK, thanks. One more question. If the server crashes or gets hacked, or otherwise messed up, do they fix it (by reformating at least)?

should also mention that they dont have 24/7 support like most datacenters do so if your server dies at night your doomed.

In regards to the above comment. The best way to get around the issue of support is to go with a reseller. The way i see it is, isn't it better to have 2 levels of support then one.

There is 2 resellers that come to mind:

    Angelnetworkz
    Tomsyer

    Both resell Managed.com servers.

Just hope that they have some sort of physical 24/7 access to the datacenter, or using them for that reason is pointless.

question 1: if your server freezes, and it's working hours for managed.com, then it can be fixed within 1 minute. (I sent an email to the right address, and they got on it right away. If you first sent it to the usual-address, they'll have to realy it and it'd take longer)

There is some thread here with testfiles at managed.com for download, you can ping that and/or download the files to see how fast it is for you.
