    Question Server Monitoring Alternative?

I currently use www.alertra.com to monitor my servers? Is there another alternative that isn't so expensive? Or perhaps someone knows of a script I can use that will handle the server monitoring for me and email me when services go down? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hotscripts will have what you need but most of thoughs scripts you setup on the server and they monitor uptime etc.

Are you asking about a 3rd party program that will monitor your server on their servers? because it works alot better that way, IMO.

We use two scripts to monitor our clients servers.

    A customised nagios and AexiMon(tm)

Basically, nagios runs on a remote machine that we own and checks the clients machine every 30seconds.

AexiMon is run locally on the clients machine, checks the services every 3 minutes and restarts them if needed.

We have just added a central status page aswell, http://status.aeximanagement.com that allows the user to view the internal and external status, aswell as restart there services.

Unfortunetly this script is only available to our customers, but I highly reccommend websitepulse for what your looking for.

registerfly.com has a new sitealert feature. I don't know if it is good or not. Not expensive.
