Above info is taken from a PC that has 2 network Cards.
Other PCs have only one network card and either using Set 1 IP or Set 2 IP.
In network neighborhood, everyone can see each other. So, I got no problem to share hardisk/printer.
The problem is when I want to use utilities that based on TCP/IP like instant messaging, intranet etc.
It is obvious that this is due to different setting of IP address and subnet mask.
Is there any way that I can make everybody ping each other ?
This is that network 192.168.0 using gateway as Default Gateway . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1 and the network xxx.xx.xx using the gateway as xxx.xx.xx.97
Here make other systems gateway as 192.168.0.194 which are in 192.168.0 network and make other systems which are in network xxx.xx.xx to use xxx.xx.xx.97 as gateway address. This will make the machine which has 2 network cards as router. So machines in both network can easily ping each other.
Second suggestion is due to default Gateway Problem
Because in ethernet 0's Default Gateway is Different and Ethernet 1's Default Gateway is Different. You need to install Routing and remote access and to enable the Routing in either Lan or Either Ethernet card.
To Configure Routing and Remote Access
Start->Programs->Administrative tools->Routing and Remote Access (or)
Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative tools->Routing and Remote Access
Here to select your Computer Name and then Right click->Configure and Enable routing and Remote access
Now Routing and remote access wizard->next->network router->tcp/ip->finish.
at client side
change default gateway to ethernet 0 (or) ethernet 1depends upon which class client belongs.
Have a chance with both solutions may be it helps you.
