I sometimes get a yellow light for Disk on my raq is this anything to worry about? I assume not be cause it says////This is the disk space used by all of the virtual sites of the Cobalt server. The green, yellow, or red light indicates low, moderate, or high disk usage, respectively.

Its just being used moderate then right? What makes the disk usage go up i don't get alot of traffic when it turns yellow i dont think

This thread is being moved to the Dedicated/Co-lo forum, as it's more appropriate in there, and the right people will more likely answer the question.

Disk Space Monitor:

I'm assuming you are seeing this in the admin CP under active monitor. Click on the "active monitor" button (next to the yellow light. Click on "disk". Click on "virtual sites". There you will see a list of the domains, and will be able to identify the site that is over the limit.

Really it is just a warning that the site, or a user in that site, is using more disk space than you have assigned for it. Nothing more. I have one that was assigned 1MB (not by me, but by another user), and they are at 1.2MB so it flashes red.

If you up the assigned space for that site/user the yellow light will go away (once you make changes it will revert back to green eventually, NOT instantly).

yes... that yellow or red light should always be clicked on to see if it your system that needs more space or your users that are reaching their quota.

This system is consider as a kind of bug through the cobalt users... simply because as a host you don't really care if your client's site is reaching its quota... but you do care if your system's partition is filled.

Generally... On all the raqs we own, the red light always flashs... and its because that some of our clients are using up all their allocated HD space.

yes thats what it was one site was using like 48mb and is only allowed 50mb dumb question here how do i up the allowed MB? I went to the site that had the yellow light to set user defaults i uped the allowed MB to 100 then i went back and looked under system status and the yelllow light was still there so i clicked on disk, Virtual Sites, the the site with the yellow light and it still shows that 50mb is all that is allowed? How do i change how much space a site gets if thats not the way you do it? I did that 6hrs ago

thanks for your time
