When to get adsense ?
Hey everyone
Just wondering, if I have a site. Currently there is not very much traffic on it. I was wondering, if I should wait until the site becomes active before I get adsense ? So that the $/click would be higher ? Cause if I get now... it pays quite little correct ? Even if my site becomes active later, it will still pay a low amount /click ?
Kindly enlighten me on it....thanksShawn Ho

you have to have some traffic before you can get approved
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

As far as I know... if you have a site that meets the guide lines then not much traffic is ok. I submitted on site the same day it went online and they approved it. I was the only visitor to the site... but it had content there.
I dont think the bussiness of your site would make a difference to how much you get per click. I think they work it on a system depending how much the advertiser is paying google and you get a % of that amount.
I would just apply now if your site is ready and has content.-- Matthew

Not that I know of.
My site got approved and it's just a site about Pocket PC's and it breezed through the signup and aproval process.
My friend signed up the day before and his website was about his family and they said no because it wasnt a commercial site or something like that.-- Matthew

I heard google pays out at the end of the year no matter how much you have earned...a friend said he got a check for $20 when the minimum is $100

You get anything you have in your account at the end of year unless you told them to hold it back... they offered me a $7 cheque and I just told them to forget it. Next cheque was okay but then they cancled my account for fradulent clicks which they cannot provide log or prove of any sorts for. After multiple inquiries and still get no response. I just give up with them... horriable service...

If the site's complete and appropriate for adsense, there's really no reason to wait.Specializing in SEO and PPC management.

get some content on there so the ads can be be slotted in - and remember never ever ever click on one of your own ads. If an ad placed on your page interests you then investigate from your address bar, never from your own site
as you can see from an earlier post by Alfarin, google are very actively watching and if they decide to stop your account they will stop it and won't supply you with detailsIf you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.
