    Accessing Apache

I've installed Apache and PHP on my machine under localhost. However when someone else tries to access the page through my IP address they can't get it to load. Someone told me that my port 80 may not be open and I can change this through httpd.conf file. Can someone point me in the right direction?

if the others are trying to access yuor apache over internet, then
your ISP is most likely bloking port 80... try to bind your apache to, for example: your_public_ip:8080 and ask someone to try address http://your_public_ip:8080

Also if your behind a router, make sure port 80 (or whatever port your using) is forwaded to the correct internal IP.
