Need major help now!
Oh do yall mean like this host that just imed me today after i have been working hard on my site. We have had 7 million hits this month and over 30,000 unique visitors.
Dear Stacey,
I regret to inform you that your hosting account for thunderarena.com
has been cancelled by us. Our decision in this matter was based on a
couple of things.
1- Your account has caused problems for other mysql users on the system
due to its excessive use of the mysql server.
2- Your recent communication to us that you might be the target of
hackers. While we appreciate your honesty in this matter, we can not
subject our shared servers to such risk when the risk is pre-known.
Your account is currently paid through the 26th of this month. We will
remove the account on the 27th. I am sorry for the inconvenience this
may cause. Thank you for your business.
Regards,
Eric Holmlund

Unlimited bandwidth is always "bullcrap" as you put it. Out of curiosity, how many GB of bandwidth were you using?
You indeed need a host that lets you use a lot of bandwidth, but I don't know if you can find something reliable for under $30/mo.
Good luck!

From the communication your host sent you, bandwidth is not the issue. Instead server load and safety are the issue. To provide more information, we would need to know more about your site as to the cause of the mysql load.

Least they have contact you and told you they are going to terminate it which gives you a chance to work on moving

At least they told you - some other hosts would just click the terminate button and that would be the end of it

Yes atleast they did but they are doing it because of bandwith. My site is a game like ******.com another game. You sign in to really see the site. You attack other people to keep your character up etc... person with most clicks or most cash at the end of the round wins 100$

If you are getting this much traffic to your site, then you should be generatting enough revenue to pay for a solid hosting situation. I recommed a dedicated server, maybe from Server Matrix. They give you tons of bandwidth.

and if you don't wanna spend that much, why don't you sell advertising? I mean, 30k uniques a month? I'm sure a few people would be willing to give you some cash to have their banner seen by 30 thousand people.
I'd say, get a server or a VPS with a lot of bandwidth and offer ad space.

It's pretty simple really. Bandwidth and servers cost money. The infrastructure to host you, costs money. If you aren't willing to pay for what you use, then you might be out of business.
Sure, you can find some kid in his basement willing to lose money on you every day because he can, but then you will be moving again next month, when he takes your money and vanishes.
Take my advice, invest in a good home for your site for the future. If you can't make enough money to pay for your hosting, then I suggest you re-evaluate what you are doing...Thank You,
Chad McCan

If all that matters is how much space and bandwidth you get and you're ok with a slow customer service, you might wanna try E-Z-hosting.com. I believe their offer is 1200GB bandwidth for $69/mo.

If you can pay around $100 a month you can have your own dedicated server with Server Beach etc... May be something to consider. Not only could you host your site, but if you have any buddies that also need hosting you could probably recoup or at least subsidise your $100 a month with those accounts.
Just a thought, this would give you lots of control, no one to answer to, reliability and a way to eliminate your hosting costs completely if you choose to resell the space/bandwidth your not using.

i suggest go for a dedicated server.. so a hack on site will not matter to anyone else. Also you have full control over what you install, what you do and rest.
And for bandwidth, if your current bandwidth is 40Gb, then you must keep in mind, that it would increase in future, so checkout additional bandwidth rates when you buy hostingWholesale Domain Prices for Retail Customers - Rushtoweb.com

Look, he's saying 100.00 per month.
You CAN get a Server Matrix server for under 100.00, however, it'll be unmanaged. From the sound of it, this guy needs a managed server. Tack on at least an additional 30.00 per month for management - and that's "at least." Also, you need to consider his control panel, and usually unless he finds a good reseller, that's an additional 20.00 per month. AND, the setup fee.
That's not going to work for him.
However, if his site is at risk from hackers, and using a Tremendous server load, yet he only wants to pay 40.00 per month for it, no one is going to host him. No one reliable anyway.
