but they could make say $200,000 profit off a quick sale yet over 4 or 5 years expect to make $500,000 or even more for example, which would you take???

Plus the fact that having the WHT brand in their buisness portfolio is worth a hell of a lot more then just money.

I guess the only important thing that not many have mentioned, is that I doubt iNET will be selling....

perhaps we could buy a 60% interest... that way, they still have a say, and we can keep it part of their network...
by a premium membership, you have a little bit more say then.

i think you might be able to buy inet interactive stock..

How exactly does being a premium member give you a "little bit more say"????

when you make a suggestion to better the community, they want you to continue to pay for your subscription, so they treat your suggestion just a slight bit more seriously.

Well, all very smart points that need thought and good discussion, but I think a reasonable, yet generous offer could eventually make them sell it. A time is a big factor and if a large portion of money and quick profit is guaranteed, why would they wait 5 years to get it back? Who knows what happens tomorrow with the market, the Internet, etc. 5 years is a lot of time for the Internet.

Also, there are plenty of other ventures they could benefit from.

Ok, so someone ask them how much they would be prepared to consider a sale for

I'm afraid this is not what was said by the owners/mods on this board when premium memberships were introduced.

IMO by this you imply that premium members will get better treatment, perhaps even not being banned because they paid iNET....

mmmmm interesting opinion you have there.......

It has been proven that is not at all true

As far as I see it, being a premium member just means your giving a bit of money to support a forum you like and find very useful, not to get better treatments from the guys running it

I've seen a premium member have their account disabled, the rules still apply.

Artashes, keep me informed if this is all serious

    Exactly my point!

So lets leave the 'premium members are better than everyone else' alone

I second that. At least out of this particular discussion. Thank you.

Brad, I will e-mail iNet within 2 days to see if there is a certain financial goal they want to be at in regard of WHT.

Good for you... but I think they are on a good thing and will not be interested...

BTW can't you just buy shares in iNET? Go buy 51% with a consortium and then you can swing the board your way...

I will certainly ask for different possible scenarious. Even if they are ready to sell 20%, that would still benefit them in terms of having the community itself on their board.

You know, it is such a vague subject at the moment. I am pleasantly surprised with the response so far from 'wealthy' members , but lets see what iNet tells me.

We could all be faced with a decision though if they come up with the number for which they will be ready to transfer the rights.

That would be challenge #2 but it would be easier than negotiating the price I suppose.
