    * Mrtg Router graphs ... question

Hi there, I have a linksys 4port router, for home networking use and i wanted to know if i is possible to have some sort of MRTG graph displaying the router's in and out traffic but im not sure if this is possible with a personal home linksys 4 port router. If anyone knows how this is possible or if this is possible could you please fill me in? Thank you very much for your time and help.

You need to find our if the router supports SNMP. Might be an idea to post a model number if you can't work it out.

I believe the BEFSR41 does do SNMP.

If you are using windows, at the most basic level....

Install the latest version of perl, put the latest version of MRTG on your harddrive somewhere, then pull up a command prompt and type....

    PATHTOPERL\perl.exe PATHTOMRTG\bin\cfgmaker public@IPDDRESSOFDEVICE

If that gives you some output you will then have to follow the rest of the MRTG instructions.

if your router does support SNMP then yes it is possible. You should check out your router's manufacturer web page and see if your model talks SNMP
