It crops and rearranges the picture so it changes from 12 to 13. What's the mystery?

They set it so it would be even on all sides. On the left of the picture when they switch 'positions' they cut the hair off the bottom man. A bit of planning and some image editing tools and it's easy enough to accomplish.

    Exactly.

A few have said it's easy to do, but have offered no explanation how an entire extra man is created.

    Is it simple? YES.

Bur has anybody explained the whole extra man. NO.

OK, I've found where the 13th person appears, and I've isolated the two frames that switch positions.

    Have a look.....

I've also included the original animation at the bottom, so you can look at everything together.

Now somebody figure it out. LOL

This reminds me of a horror story where 7 sisters, victim of a murder, were trapped in a church and burned to death. One of them had to cut her sisters apart and arange the parts so that they found 7 burnt bodies and don't notice her missing..

I've explained how it's done and still no one understands? If you cut the hair off one guy on the left then you are able to add hair to someone on the right to complete a thirteenth man

But isn't the hair being cut off being added to a guy that is already there in the first place? How does cutting off hair make anyone appear or disappear?

    Hmm... weird.

Okay, here is what I found:

    13 guys:

3 black shirt, 10 white shirt
5 white shorts, 8 black shorts
6 white shoes, 7 black shoes

    12 guys:

3 black shirt, 9 white shirt
5 white shorts, 7 black shorts
6 whilte shoes, 6 black shoes

So, we get an extra guy with white shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.

But what does he have to do with having 12 guys instead of 13? The only thing special about him is he is missing his hair. That doesn't explain why there are now 13 instead of 12.

They took half of someone's feet, shorts, body, and head to make another person. That's it.

If you notice, there is someone with missing parts fo hair, parts of feet, parts of body, and so on.
