Question proftpd already down on a new server, anyone help?

Just got a new server from servermatrix and ever since I put my email into the contact bit in whm setup.

I have been getting emails of "proftpd failed, attempting to restart"

I dont think i have even touched proftpd yet ?? I tried to ftp to serverIP on port 21 but seems like the ftp server is really down.

Any know how I can get this proftp back up? Ive tried going to whm to reset ftp and it gives me message:

    "Attempting to restart ftpserver
    Waiting for ftpserver to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished.

ftpserver status proftpd dead but subsys locked

ftpserver has failed, please contact the sysadmin. "

I tried to do a restart in shh. I get

[email protected] [/usr/local/cpanel/base]# service proftpd start
Starting proftpd: - getaddrinfo 'username0x' error: Name or service not known
    - error: unable to determine IP address of 'username0x'
    - error: no valid servers configured
    - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd.conf'

Im starting to think the server name is username0x and its suppose to be configured to e.g thats why im getting error?
