i have a method of doing it. but its messy. i'd like to look into cpanel's API's for this.. namely /scripts/wwwacct, which is accessible on the port 2086 (with ssl). but i dont have read access for it.
/scripts/wwwacct, uses a username and a key hash to authenticate the user before they perform operations such as creating an account for a new customer who purchases a hosting package off you from ur reseller account.
i would ask for someone to send me that code for research purposes. but i dont think anyone would.. so i havent bothered..
there was a perl module Cpanelubdomain back in cpanel version 3/4, but in the installation i'm looking at (which is version 9), the module does not exist in the modules folder..
subdomains are conventionally created somehow via <Cpanel someting="addsubdomain('subdomainname')">... (something like that). a cpanel command which is processed by cpanel's webserver....
Is it possible to create sub-domains using cPanel Accounting Perl module as we create new domains in it?
Also, I have setup cPanel Accounting Perl module and while creation of a new account using createacct I get the following error:-
"There was a problem setting up the account. Your submission has been sent to the admin for manual processing"
