Maybe go to godaddy.com and buy a buyback there as well. Try a copule other places, might cost alittle of money but if you can get that back in the first month of you having the domain name why not?

Yep but for the auction to go in in pool.com means that they have already caught it............

Be sure to monitor VERY CLOSELY during the last 1/2 hr...people waiting quietly out there and charge in the very last min....
speaking of my "bad" experience though

Depends how good the name is. If it is worth it put your highest bid in towards the end just like good ol' eBay auctions.

Postmaster - do your research and know what your highest dollar amount is before the auction draws to a close. There is nothing worse than winning an auction to realize later that you got caught in the hype and overspent!

Not a good idea, godaddy's success rate is poor. Try namewinner as an alternative

I am sorry for my post I have never used any services like pool.com godaddy.com namewinner.com etc... I thought Pool.com was the same, but it isn't and I learned what it was. Thanks again.

Np mate.... Since Im not going to bother auctioning for the domain its artdealer.com which I must say is exelent.... You guys should know that pool.com have chnaged the way the auction works.... If last minite bids fall in then the time is now extented for 5 minites after afew bids then its extended for 2 minites everytime after.... Just an other way pool.com can leach more money out of people.....
Thanks for all your tips keep em coming...

Thats really wierd......
www.whois.sc
ICANN Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
Created: 29-jan-1996
Expires: 30-jan-2005
Status: PENDINGDELETE
obviously since pool.com as it, its been renewed... Which would explain the 2005 expirey... Also its on for $1150 thats way too much if you ask me...
