Have a client who refuse to pay for the domain names, have the invoices etc. I heard there is a rule we can apply for registrar to "hold" the domains if the payment involved is for non payment of domains. Is that true? What are the procedures
Well who's name is the Domain name in? If you paid for it and is in your companies name and your client doesn't pay then they are yours. I have never had to apply anywhere for "hold" "lock" etc... So the question is back to yourself. Who's has the login info, whos name is it, who is the contact admin?
resellers can't put domains into REGISTRAR-HOLD status only registrars can.
all you can do is change the domain whois info to something like
Unpaid Names Department-R
your address xxxxxxx
Email: [email protected]
and wait for payment.
