Cold Fusion

Hi,
As you can see by name I am a newbie. I wanted to know how to be able to offer Cold Fusion hosting. Will it work on my Linux Box or is there some thing that I have to add ? Thanks.

Actually ColdFusion comes in Windows, Linux, and Unix (Solaris/AUX/HPUX) flavors, so any of those platforms can be used.

Note that the server product can be somewhat expensive, and you'll want to check into reselling issues (not sure if the usual license covers it or not).

For more info, check out the Macromedia site starting from the link above.

You can look at

blue dragon and coldfusion mx 6.1 Both support what most clients expect(when the client knows the difference between cfml and html)

Most clients who don't have a specific need for a specific coldfusion feature are usually pretty happy with just php hosting. For the rest, you usually amortize a 1200$US+ bill over a year or two... I don't have that class of client, more power to you if you do.

As mentioned CFML will run on a variety of platforms...
To date I have not found a *nix control panel that supports it. On windows you can look at Helm, or H-Sphere. There may be others.
