Transferring a .org - Where do I get the EPP?

I have 2 .org domains (one at GoDaddy and one at Enom) that I want to transfer to another registrar. I got an email saying that I need to get the EPP code from the current registrars in order to continue with the transfer process.

I looked in my accounts and I can't see where those codes are. How do I get them?

Add-on question: How close can you get to the expiry date before you are not allowed to transfer a name to another registrar?

    Thanks, jroy.

I figured the first question out myself. For those who don't know and may be interested,

enom - Click on the domain in your account and go to the personal profile area. At the bottom of the page you will find the EPP code.

godaddy - click on the domain in your account and then in the right hand column click to get your "Auth Code" emailed to you.

i managed to transfer expired domains from bulkregister to enom

if the domain status is ACTIVE not REGISTRAR-HOLD i believe you can transfer it and registry will refund the losing registrar the fee.

Grrrr. I ended up transferring about 30 names over to namecheap from various registrars. It turns out a half dozen or so were registrar locked. So I logged in and unlocked them, and then clicked on the links namecheap provided to re-submit the transfer requests. But they all gave me the following error:

Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 'StatusDesc'.

So now I'm waiting for namecheap's support to get back to me.

I have transferred only one expired domain from names4ever to Directi, but many times I have transferred domains even the same day they are expiring, from Stargate, BulkRegister, NetSol, DomainDiscover, among others.

Sorry, but we are unable to transfer your domain name to another registrar.
This is due to the service agreement for the domain name:

    http://domains.aplus.net/support/domain.php

Transfers. CLIENT understands that he will be prohibited from changing his
Registrar during the first 60 days after initial registration of the domain
name with REGISTRAR and during the last 60 days before renewal of the domain
    name with Registrar.

If you would like to transfer the domain name, please renew with
Names4ever.com then after 60 days of the renewal, you will beable to submit
    the transfer request.

Yeah... names4ever support is just crap. I can say now I had very good luck that time, but let me tell you I had to call their "support" almost every day (of course, long distance calls) during almost two weeks in order to perform the transfer... and funny (worst) part of the story is that I was told a totally different "argument" every time I called...

Anyway, thanks God I could retrieve that domain from that company...
