Selling outdated equipment
I was wondering what the best approach would be to sell outdated equipment specifically servers once they become obsolete for the market.
Are there companies that would buy several machines at once since ebaying a bunch of servers sounds like alot of work..
Thanks!

There is always companys looking for low-end servers. And there is always a demand for them as well. I would use ebay and sell a "LOT" of computers. Or maybe sell a couple and see how good there selling....

Maybe even try in here?
I know many people need inexpensive machines to "test" (destroy).
And maybe someone wants one for an OfficeSpace movie impressionCybexHost.com - Shared and Reseller Hosting Solutions on cPanel/WHM Linux Servers

Server seem to go pretty well on ebay.
If not you could always scrap the chassis, RAM, and HDD

These machines aren't exactly low end.
P4 2.8HT 800FSB. 40GB HD, 1GB PC3000DDR, 1000G Network.
We need to get rid of them because they are towers that were put into service quickly to complete a build out but now they aren't needed as Dual Rackmounts have replaced them.

Those systems are a steal for what he is selling them for. If someone rejected it, they would be insane.

How about donating them to a local school or somewhere in your community? Just a suggestion - I'm sure there are kids out there that still don't know what a computer is.

Yes, not a bad idea. Charitable contributions are a good way to offset your income tax.
