Well, you could get a 2nd hard drive on the server, and have it backup to that with cron jobs, or get a second server, or get a FTP backup plan from somehere.

To secure the box it depends om what OS you run. If it's Linux you should install the APF firewall.
SSH to your server as the root user.
    PHP Code:
    wget http://www.rfxnetworks.com/downloads/apf-current.tar.gz

    tar -xzf apf-current.tar.gz

    cd
    /apf-0.9.3_3
    ./install.sh
    Also
edit config etc..and read the README.

You could also install BFD(Brute Force Detection) http://www.rfxnetworks.com/bfd.php

    daejuanj,

Thanks for your reply and your interest, and i'm sorry forget type my server informations.

    Server: web hosting
    Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz
Primary HDD: 80GB Hard Drive Secondary HDD: 80GB Hard Drive
    Database: MySQL
Operating System: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Version 3
    Control Panel: cPanel/WHM with Fantastico

and i need to make backup configuration (daily/weekly/monthly) in Backup Drive.

-I did this steps pleas tell me if it right way:
    1- mkdir backup via SSH
    2- Configure Backup under WHM:

    *Backup Status: Enabled
*Backup Interval (Note: Selecting Daily Backup with give you monthly and weekly as well, Selecting Weekly backup will give you monthly as well.) Daily or weekly - up to you
    *Days to run backup (explanitory)
*Remount/Unmount backup drive (requires a seperate drive/coda/nfs mount) - Disabled
*Bail out if the backup drive cannot be mounted (recommended if you have selected the above option) - Disabled
*Incremental backup (only backup what has changed. (**No Compression**) - Disabled
    *Backup Accounts - Enabled
*Backup Config Files (not needed to restore specific accounts) - Disabled
*Sql Databases (at least per accounts is needed to use the restore feature) - Per account
*Backup Raw Access Logs - Disabled
*Backup Destination (this should be a dir/nfs/coda mount with at least twice the space of all your /home* partitions. Setting this to /home is a VERY BAD IDEA.): - /backup
(Note: you need a second hard drive and should have it set to /backup in your fstab file)
    ----------
And need an important command for secure the server and hole.

    Kind Regards

Yes, I believe that is right.
About securing the server, there is no ONE command. The Firewall & BFD I explained in my first post is what you need to do.
