    Thumbs down Keep Out: Crackdown.biz

I was on the server for 2 days. I was allowed 50GB Space & 125GB Bandwidth

Everytime I tried to reach any PHP files in the site, my computer froze. Visitors who has come to my site would have the same problem as I do too.

When I email them about the problems in the morning, I haven't had any response until early evening. By that time, the bandwidth that I used for both days are 6GB but the total space that my site comsumed is barely over 57MB.

One of the support tech emailed me that my site used 7% of the server memory. I told him the problem that I have with my site. He accused that I have problem with my programming. The only programming that I use is the simple <?php include(' ');?> and most web hosting server should be able to support this type of PHP programing.

Unable to help me fix the problem, the tech promise to refund my money.

30 minutes later I recieved an email from the admin of Crackdown Hosting. He said I violated his TOS and I have exactly 24 hours to delete my site and give me another option to purchase a <b>Reseller Package</b> from him.

When i refuse and demanded my money back. He also accused me of using creating a mysql database called aetherea_hostees. I seriously don't have a database called aetherea_hostees, it was just a mysql username.

When I deleted the aetherea_hostees username to prevent more confusion. Juan Carlos (Crackdown's Admin) accused me of lying and he told me that he made a screenshot of it. When I demand for the screenshot, he won't show it to me. Instead, he said
You have 22 hrs to move your site , I DON'T BACK YOUR MONEY
I kick you NOW! you cann't win money with your lies.
Well, I only lose $39.00 in 2 days. Thankfully, I haven't gone for the $200.00 Reseller Plan.

Here's the place/plan you found or signed up for:

I saw it when it was released, and was waiting for the inevitable. 50 gigs of space and 125 gigs of bandwidth costs way, way more than $39/year. Consider paying more to a more reputable host.

Sorry to say, but that's what you get for wanting everything for the price of nothin ($39/year).

Hopefully you spend some more time here, ivytran87, and avoid this from happening again. Also, thanks for warning others about these guys.

That host will barely be able to cover the cost for purchacing cpanel.

Notice the name, crackdown. That alone makes me not want to host with them.

You get what you pay for.

Thats is funny. He can't even give an answer on how he is going to give the 200 GB. His spelling is pretty funny to.
Leave all the hard work to use.

His writings make it seem like he may not use english as his first language, so I wouldn't necessarily bash on him for that. He mentions spanish in his postings, so that's probably the case.

    Just my opinion...

    73 * 2 = 146 - 5GB (OS / swap / whatever) = 141.

Now I wave my magic wand and it becomes 200.

Mate, I'm sorry but this is a BLATANTLY obvious scam... "CrackDown Hosting", doesn't the name say it all?

I have a bad reference too. I was interested in the reseller account but when I decided not to buy it directly he was laughing at me and saying things like: you suck I am wasting my time, loser etc...

I mean is this customer friendly?

    Let me get this straight.

    You bought a 50GB space / 125GB bandwidth account...

    For $39/year...

From someone on WHT named "[email protected]"...

Who speaks English as a (distant) second language...

And who owns a hosting company named crackdown.biz.

How you thought this could turn out well is absolutely beyond me.

Ah, well, as they say, there's a sucker born every minute...
