cURL with SSL

I installed curl on a my RaQ4i along with recompiling php with the --with-curl command, which all works fine. Problem is that, I would like the the curl to be recompiled to support SSL. I thought I knew how to do that this, but apparently not. The problem is finding the path to ssl to fill in. Here is what I am trying to do:

./configure --with-ssl=?

I have replaced the ? with so many different paths that my head is spinning and I still have not gotten curl to pick up the ssl on my server. If someone has done this before and knows the proper configure command for what I am trying to do, would you please let me in on the secret.

Please don't simply tell me to do locate openssl, or find, or grep, I have been locating, finding, and greping for 4 days now and none of the paths that turn up work.
