Apache Question

I'm trying to install Apache for the first time onto my Windows system. I'm about to switch to Linux but a friend suggested I try setting up a server on windows first so that's what I'm doing.
At installation I'm supposed to enter DNS information for my domain. Fair enough I know how to register a DNS through godaddy.com however I'm baffled as to what your supposed to but in the IP bit. Is it your computer's IP address or your ISP's address? If someone could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure it's your IP address.

Strange.. I wonder why Apache would need to know DNS information about your domain... it is a webserver and not a DNS server.

Also, do you have a static IP address? DNS are worthless if you don't have a static IP address...

It is the IP address coming from your modem go here and it should say.

www.ipchicken.com " this is your IP address "

If you don't have a static IP then go somewhere like zoneedit.com and set an account up.
