I've ordered a site from ipowerweb. It's now been a total of FOUR weeks to the day and I still do not have my site. I have tried to contact them many times after sending them the information that was needed for the site but all I have gotten back is automated responses. What should I do?
My parents say to "be patient". I have been for four weeks. And they won't let me phone it because they don't know whether it's toll free or if it costs money to call from australia to america using that number.
Then why not reorder?
Maybe you made a mistake with your order?
But since they haven't charged you, your options are open. My advice is that Ipowerweb isn't that reputable a host to go with and you shouldn't pay by a yearup front as the host might turn bad halfway...

I am at my wits end. I would like to find an australian web host that can support a link such as http://www.domainsitenamehere.net for about $120-$150 dollars a year but it has to include free registration and something similar, but no exact to this:
I registered with ipowerweb a few months back - I especially liked that there was 1 package and I didn't have to guess at what I might need (and they seemed to offer a lot). Anyway, as I am also based overseas I had to fax documentation for verification. It was not a problem and I had my site up and running very quickly. Either you are willing to fax the documents required or you're not. They don't get any money for you calling them and a fax won't cost you much at all.
I've have no problems with them so far (though I haven't had a response to an email I sent about emailing limits) so I am surprised at the bad reputation on this forum. However, I am only an itty-bitty user and only a tiny blip in their world.
AussieHosts already explained that it is not toll free outside the States. If you call the number a recorded message will tell you that you must pay the international phone charge and gives you the chance to cancel the call.
Again, faxing them will hardly cost a thing and even calling shouldn't cost very much, the USA is usually a 'cheap' destination to call. If your telcoms provider is really so expensive then you should look into changing them.
Are you sure that other overseas hosts won't ask you to do the same - ie verify your details? Ir you have a real problem with doing this then perhaps you should ask AussieHosts for some advice regarding an Aussie host.
If they've already charged your card, call up the credit card company, get your money back by doing a chargeback and find another host. I wouldn't have put up with an unresponsive host within the first few days.

Completely unacceptable... cancel your order and go with an other company.
