i know it's possible to view the contents of a windows partition on freebsd by using the mount_ntfs program, but is there any way to view the contents of a freebsd hard drive on windows?

As far as I know ub3r, Windows can't do it natively. Maybe there are third-party applications which can see it, but Windows just sees it as a drive ready to be formatted with Windows juice.

This is a good question for www.linuxforums.org though.

The thing is that these partitions are on the same machine, so samba wouldn't work.

    So you're dual-booting between FreeBSD & XP?

Googled for an answer but all I could find was a windows prog that can read ext2/3 partitions, the creator of that said there were no plans to expand to UFS.
