I have a spider cron job that takes around 30 minutes to run. The problem is that when using either GET, or wget:
GET -t 3600 [php file]
wget -T 3600 [php file]
the command is killed/quits/stops after 5 minutes regardless of the timeout I set for each command (like 60 minutes). Since it happens for both commands, it seems that this is a server timeout setting, but I am not sure how to modify it. Anyone know why there's a 5 minute timeout, or how to fix it?
It is a dedicated Linux server running CPanel/WHM.
Actually, I have run both commands at the ssh shell, and the 5 minute timeout problem does occur. It doesn't matter if it's being run as a cron job, or not.
The auto kill that Bashar talks about definitely seems like a possibility, but I have not been able to find a setting regarding this in WHM at all. I would think it would be under 'Tweak Settings' or something, but don't see anything. Do you know how to get to the settings that control this?
