Just use the FTp info the host sent you in your welcome email. For Dreamweaver enter the info the same way and you will connect. If this is a new account you should have an IP you can use until your domain hits the servers.
your ip the host gave you until your domain is ready
after your domain is ready
Play around with it and you will get connected. If you can not contact your host and make sure it is set up/
use the help in dreamweaver as I do not remember what tab it is under and I use it everyday just not for uploading
you should choose normal login then when you get experienced change it to SFTP if your FTP client allows this. Most people do not realize by using ftp your password and username can be picked up from someone.
Then enter the directory where your files are stored on your computer so it will open everytime you login. If using dreamweaver you will need to look at the help file as I dont use Dreamweavers ftp stuff.
If using cpanel you will see folders like Public_html or www just drop your site there.
Thats it now view your page with the ip.index.html or whatever extension.
