Then don't go there, sheesh. The man asked for a test file, not a opinion.

If you need a bigger file, i can probably help, just drop me one

yeah, don't go to managed.com because I want to rent a server there myself and do't want them to be out of stock again
I've got a testserver for free over there though, the speed is very good, just as good as ev1servers. 1,2MB/s if I wget something to and from ev1servers. Can't give you a testfile to test though..

I have looked into Managed.com over the past few months while most people on here have trashed them.
I am still undecided if to use them or not.
Anyway, thanks again for the test file.

Make sure they change their cancellation procedures before you get a server there (if you decide to after all of what you see). You don't want to end up like that guy. It seems as if anybody can cancel someone else's server.

Thanks anyway.
I am currently with PoundHost.com but the network speeds are lacking a bit on server to server transfers and downloading to my PC on my 1mb line.

I read alot about managed.com
Good & Bad reviews about them.
I have to say i am not willing to spend loads on a server, max limit to spend would be about $70 a month.
So managed is looking the best option so far.

If $70 a month is your budget then your choices are pretty limited, although you could get quite a decent sized VPS at a quality Datacenter for $70.
It's not a full dedicated but then the network you would be on would in most cases be a lot better. Not to mention the fact that the support would also be better, considering that most of the quality Datacenters think that providing support on the week ends is pretty important. Managed.com doesn't appear to think so, they don't have week end support...
Best of luck....

I uploaded a file to my server for everyone to test.
Right now my server uses almost none of it's bandwidth, so I'm willing to keep it up for a little while (all the downloads normally on my server are located elsewhere for the time being)
http://www.evilfactory.net/10mb.bin
It's a managed.com server with a P4 2.4GHz processor and 120GB hard drive with 1000GB bandwidth and 1GB RAM.

It looks as if managed.com is looking the best option.
I am with PoundHost, and haven't found all that much of a problem with them besides the speeds of server to server and download speeds at times.

I took the test file offline for now as bandwidth isn't registering at all and I have no idea how much bandwidth I am using
your welcome
