    Unlock you DVD player

many uk bought dvd players are factory set to only play region 2 (european) discs. but many of them can be reset to play any region discs, by accessing hidden menus amd putting in a few numbers on your remote. a bit like a cheat code for a game. no soldering required

if you stick your dvd make and model, plus "multi-region hack", into google you should find it (if it's do-able). but there are a lot of dud links to diet pills etc.
for a more focussed starting point you could also try HERE

    Good Luck!!

I believe, if I am not mistaken, you can only change the region 7 times, after it locks into the last region it was changed to.

All the DVD players in my house have been chipped to automatically select the correct region. This stops problems with RCE, because these disks will not play in a DVD player set to all regions, it will only play on a player set to Region 1 for example.

Only cost about 30 per player I think.

I've unlocked all my dvd players, one was a code, the other were putting two cd's into it... so you can use all regions.

I think with the Apex's they just forgot to lock them. Because they recalled them all soon after they were released.

Yes, that's all I did (I come from Australia and live in the US so have both region 1 and region 4 DVD's - all legally bought).

They're in Chicago and have a ton of them (amongst other things). Deliver on time, and prices are pretty good for full brand name equipment.

    Highly recommend this one:
