They must be severely overselling. I signed up for the Mega Plan which promises 50gb per month. Well after about the 2nd day my site was up it was shut down with the message that I had exceeded my daily bandwidth. I was never told there was a daily limit and it certainly wasn't advertised. I asked them to bump me up to the Mega Plus plan which would raise my daily limit and monthly limit to 65gb. I also asked what would I need to do to have the daily limit lifted b/c my site is very active during the week(business hours) and little activity on the weekends. I usually use around 50 gb's per month. I was told that if I paid a one time $100 setup fee the limit could be lifted. Well, the Mega Plus plan moved the daily limit of just above 2gigs/day so I was fine and didn't need to pay the $100. 2 days later I got an email saying that my site put too much strain on their server and was opening up too many connections and that I would need a dedicated server or find a new host. They said my site would be shut down in 7 days. When I told them their advertising was misleading, they were very rude. Anyway, I wouldn't reccomend their service. I am going to ask for a refund of course since they have a 30 day money back guarantee and I will let you know if I get it.
Well it is time for you find a new host. If you are not satisfied dont stick around backup your data and move on. Do some research on your next hosting company before clicking the submit button. maybe you need to go dedicated if you are using a lot of resources and straining the server.
Well a few weeks later and Anhosts will not refund my money even though they claim a 30 day money back guarantee. Their response is since I put strain on their server that I violated their TOS and was not entitled to a refund even though they cancelled my account. Never do business with these people.
That's too bad to hear. It's really upsetting knowing that some hosts dont fully obey their own guidelines.
I mean, sure your site might have been putting too much stress on the server, and sure, maybe you should be on a dedicated server, but if I had been the host, I would have atleast given you your money back.
