    Permissions Help!

    Hi there,

I just recently transfered all files for an account from a box running Plesk and ProFTPd to CPanel running PureFTPd but the problem is that all of the files which were compressed using tar then transferred over are now un-deletable in their new directories. Does anyone know how to correct permissions? I even made the files 755 in ssh manually but theyre still undeletable... Does anyone know why this occurs and how to fix it? Do I have to tar the files using a special command to keep permissions?

I am really stumped as the files are 755 as I set them but I still cannot delete them or even over-write them in an FTP client. Help! Thanks in advance...

You need to check the group and user ownership of the files.

    Regards,

why because it looks like clown at first glance?

Cafe Manager: Free lunch? Did you read the fine print stating it was an April Fool's joke.
Patron: I read the same way I listen, I ignore the parts I don't agree with. I'm suing you for false advertising.
