is it possible to rebrand Horde webmail to your own name and style? Especially all references to the name itself in the obvious areas. This isnt becsause I want to nick someone else's work but because i think the name is dreadful.
Are you asking is it *technically* possible? or is it *legally* possible?
I know the former is, since Portland State University has a tweaked version of it for their students to use. The url still says 'imp' in it, but you can see the login has been customized: https://webmail.pdx.edu/
Well I guess I am asking both since I am not interested in breaking the law, moral or legal.
I am very happy to carry footer copyright info and a logo at the bottom for horde, but I dont want users to have to see a great big HORDE logo and click on it when they want to check their mail. I would like to be able to change the main logo link from the control panel, the one at the top of the page and the name of the directory.
I didnt instal horde, it came with the cpanel software I use.
Technically you can rebrand IMP. They even have screenshots of rebranded IMP installations on the project website.
Legally, IMP is GPL'd, so I believe you can modify it however you want as long as the copyright remains in the code (not necessarily the display... I don't see any mention of Horde or IMP in the rebranded screenshots).
Thank you. I have found the location of the files now, but digging through them I still can't find the "welcome to Horde" bit. I keep finding bits like "Welcome to %s". Where do I change the %s string?
Also, anyone know how I can change the directory name of /horde without re-installing?
