We did something like this a long time ago for a restaurant back when netfx-2000.net was working. That would be the next question - do the people have access to the internet @ work or did you need to fax it to them?
hmmmmm....well, i dont really have a resturant asking me to make them one, i was just thinking about making some sites for a few local pizza joints.
Do you think most places would have a fax or internet or both.
Most places i dont think would have the regular computers, just the ones for cash registers.
Fax would seem to be the way to go now that i think of it.
I don't think a classic shopping cart would be the best. There are certain things with pizzas, like stuff you add to a pizza. Classic shopping carts can collect items, but usually don't know how to group them. A pizza order can contain a pizza plus some dressing and other stuff. It could as well contain several pizzas with each one of them having things added on.
What good would it be, if you got an order, four times pizza "Napoli", twice pizza "Roma", one "Venezia", twice extra tomato, once extra cheese and once extra oregano? What would you put where? Clearly a classic shopping cart would prove insufficient.
Nevertheless, it's an easy job, pretty basic scripting, a bit tougher, if you care about security, but still under $1k job. Good luck.
