Internet Explorer.. making its own favorites? [kind of]

On my favorites menu i have folders, like one for WHT
with links to different forums in there.
I have this folder called Links.
Its defaulty put in there by IE
    I deleted it.
But every few days it comes back [Nothing in it though.]
    Im just wondering why...
    its really annoying.

It's a default folder for IE. Either one of the methods below will get it our of your way for good.

    Using the Registry - Start/Run/Regedit

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

Set the String value of "LinksFolderName" to equal a blank string. Open IE and delete the Links folder from the Favorites menu. The next time you start Internet Explorer the Links folder will not be recreated.

    Hide It

Drop down you favorites menu, right click on the Links folder and choose properties. When the properties box appears, on the general tab, check the hidden box at the bottom. Close all Internet Explorer Windows, and restart IE. It will be gone, at least in the favorites drop down menu.

Then don't use it. FireFox puts a "Bookmark Toolbar" in your bookmarks and it can not be removed, does that mean it's also spyware? A lot of browsers include links when you first install and some that can not be removed. Get used to it or don't use the software. Switch to Linux/Unix/FreeBSD/Mac/Sun if you are so anti-Microsoft.

Then use your other machine for everything else and just use your Windows machine for gaming, nothing else. I don't understand why you are anti-Microsoft and still use their software for most activities. No one is forcing you to use Internet Explorer, or Windows. So don't.

I dont see how that makes me "anti-Microsoft"

No, i'm not having a bad day, just don't see why everyone is anti-Microsoft. All the other browsers do the same, brng it up with them.

Your posts saying that Microsoft is a worm/virus/spyware sure makes it look like you are anti-Microsoft.

He was joking... "MS is spyware... LOL"

He is "picking" on Explorer because that happens to be the browser he uses.

    Nothing anti-MS there at all.
