Post Completely managed dedicated Windows server (with MS SQL) : Recommendations needed

Need to resell a Windows 2003 (with .NET) server with MSSQL.

Client is not likely to have more than a handful of sites, so I guess control panel need not be too fancy.

Also, dont expect high bandwidth usage.

Server will not need to be too powerful.

24 x 7 monitoring to ensure high uptime is required.
Server needs to be completely managed.

Anonymity needed. The client should not know whom the server is bought from by me.

Any recommendations on who would be the perfect web hosting company for such a requirement?

    Thanks!

Any hosting company offering ColdFusion seems good enough. Of course, you may not use it, but the very fact of its being offered is a big plus.

On the other hand, if you need fully managed server and have only a handful of sites, why don't you consider a virtual dedicated server?

Completely and totally managed, you should look into hostmysite.com, http://intermedia.net or maybe rackmy.com

Yeah, now that I think about it, Intermedia.net will probably be perfect for you. Hosted there some years ago, they only allow control panel access, they do everything else. And I'm sure you can do the reseller stuff.

Servermatrix comes with MS SQL on their windows plans (or atleast mine did) and they have many managed options. Of course if you arent on a budget there are better options, but they are (IMHO) the most 'bang' for your buck.

Yes an SM reseller will perfectly do.
I've seen that EV1 Windows servers are even cheaper than the Linux ones. Are they offering MS SQL for that price?

It depends on what he means by fully managed as both companies do not offer fully managed servers.

    Both are good companies though!

Check out ECUI.com - they offer everything you're looking for.

The thing is if you customer has even half a clue (is able to run a tracert) then the server will never be anonymous
