    and a internet connection of course...

    But i don't think its smart to give hosting on your own computer, because your pc has to be on 24/7. and broadband internet isn't fast enough!(unless you got your own 100 mbit line)

    And you have to see if your isp allows you to run a server.

    i use whm auto pilot for mine and it seems to work out great for me

    Why don't you go and get a reseller webhosting plan? it's cheaper than hosting on you own PC, you don't have to worry about blackouts, internet connectivity problems and you will have a lot more of bandwidth.

    I would never sign up for hosting on a home computer, even if it's free.

    I agree with SEATi, unless you have experience administering servers. Servers = keeping software up to date and patched. Do you want to do that?
