Bandwidth As Low as $20 Per Meg + FREE Setup & Space
I have some extra bandwidth and space I am willing to sell at wholesale cost to the public, and I am also offering free setup, as well as space, depending on the amount of bandwidth you buy.
The location of this offer is in Houston, Texas, where I have a private cage on the 24th floor of the Wedge International Tower. This is one of the top datacenters in Houston, and is equipped with redundant generators, UPS, AC, and power feeds. It is manned 24x7x365 with technicians as well as security guards. There is even a restaurant located on the 43rd floor of this building in case you get hungry
As for the network, we are mainly using Cogent Communications, which we have 2Gbps of capacity with, and more on the way. We also have a backup with Time Warner in case the Cogent network goes down for no reason, which hasnít happened in the past four years we have had service with Cogent. We offer a %99.9 uptime guarantee on this network. You may ping or trace route the following ip address if you would like to test the performance of the network: 22.214.171.124
We use Cisco routers and switches only. I will provide you with Ethernet ports for each server, so there is no need for you to bring in your own switch, unless you want to. All ports provided will be 100Mbps ports, but will be capped to the speed of the connection you are paying for. We do have burstable options. You are guaranteed the speed that you pay for.
We will install the servers free of charge for you as long as you ship them to our datacenter. We can also install operating systems for free if desired. Collocation clients will not have physical access to the building, because our techs will be able to handle everything that you desire. If you are interested in a full rack or shelf though, agreements can be made for you to have physical access to your servers. Reboot are free, as well as standard help with the management of your servers and network.
Space will be provided free as long as you commit to at least 10Mbps of bandwidth. Otherwise there will be a fee per server:
$20.00 per 1U of space, with one power outlet included
$30.00 per Tower case, with one power outlet included
There will be discounts if you buy a lot of space or bandwidth.
Bandwidth will start at $35 dollars per meg, and can go all the way down to $20 per meg depending on the size of the commitment.
I am willing to offer a free 8 port remote reboot strip to the first user who signs up with more than 10 Mbps of bandwidth as a bonus.
I can also provide inexpensive, managed dedicated servers if desired.
This is a limited time offer, first come first served; space is limited.
Please contact me if you are interested either by PM or email. You may also contact me on one of the many instant message programs if I am online, which I usually am. My contact information is located below.
Not trying to ruin anything, used it myself, horrible experience, you get what you pay for, think others will agree. Hopefully they will turn around now that cisco "took" a chuck of ownership in them since they couldn't afford to pay for all the cisco equipment.
btw - Quote from your old post:
"Can anyone give me info on XO and if they are any good? Also, HE.net? Are they as bad as cogent? Thanks, Kyle"
Yes, this is true; I too did mention Cogent as a bad network before I really even knew anything about the different backbone providers, which is why I was asking who the best backbone is in the first place. Since then I have learned a lot of information.
Cogent is great now though, and you canít beat them for the price and performance that they offer. You should give them a try.
