    Smiley Question...

First of all, what does emlaugh stand for?
Second of all, is that a middle finger he is holding up? or what is that?
[Sorry, i was just always curious and i think this is the right forum for such a question.]

I stuck that smilie Photoshop and enlarged it... Let's say that smiley would get 30 warning points.

Edit: forgot a word or 2 or 3...

Huh.. It is indeed a middle finger.. Crazy

<edit> it kinda also looks like it may be a tear coming from the laughing guys eye...</edit>

The more I look at it the more it looks like a tear.

Attaching the blown up one here. Note these things:
    1) Not really of size to be a 'hand'. The smiley writer has a buncha whitespace that doesn't look like it was used - coulda put an 'arm' in or whatever
    2) The 'shiney' on the bottom left, indicative of 'water' or 'liquid'
    3) The top is ~ three pixels wide. That makes it look like a finger, but it's just small and thin due to the way the 'tear' is drawn.

Conclusion: Tear. From laughing too hard.

It is a tear. I used to watch anime, a /lot/ and whenever they had a nervous laugh, they would get a big sweat/teardrop.. that smiley's been around forever, and I'm pretty sure that's what it is!

Yes, I agree that it's based on the big sweat drop from anime that's typical with a fubar realization.

A sweat drop - yes. A tear - not (too far from the eye).
