    Gambling

What would you consider the best way to win money when gambling? I would personally say Black Jack, but it can be easy “Cheated” like any other gambling game.

Side Note - I do not gamble just seeing what people think.

Well..... To be honest there is no REAL answer for this...

I was at a casino 2 weeks ago having dinner. I finished my dinner early and decided to walk back to my hotel room to grab some money and had 20$ left in my pocket. I walked by a slot machine and tossed the 20$ in there.... First Pull I won $7,200... (this was a 5$ slot machine).

This is pure luck... and you really never know something like blackjack and a slot... it all comes down to pure luck....

There is no question or doubt about it.

If you play any of the house games (blackjack, craps, roulette, slots, etc), the house will win in the long run.

Play Texas Hold'em Poker. You're playing against other players and you have infinitely better chance of winning - provided you play well, of course. Whenever I go to Vegas, I always sit for a few hours, make enough to pay for my entire trip (and then some), and then quit.

I've been a poker player for 3 years now...trying to go semi-pro actually. Once you've started playing poker, you'll wonder why you ever played against the house.

pokerstore, perhaps you'll run into my buddies when you go pro. Years ago, I played quite a bit of poker locally at "private games". Now when I watch the World Poker Tour show on TV and they show all the tournaments, I get a real kick out of seeing people like Evelyn Ng and Daniel Negreau classed as "Poker professionals". I played many a hand with both of them. Heck, Evelyn started off being a dealer for us.

    Sorry, off topic.

I love poker as well, but I'm underage. I just play with friends and online (tourneys only, no open tables) ... and normally win or at least get in money range (third place and above).

I bet on football (soccer) and baseball. Won $50 last night. Got about $200 worth of bets on for tonights games. Just taking it slowly since it's the start of the season.

Made more from gambling last summer than most people make from their jobs.

I bet on the stock tips I get from anonymous members of trading forums. That's why I eventually decided to take up internet begging.

Wow..you've played with quite a crew there! I've got a few up and comers in my group of players as well...one who just came off a +$16,000 USD month for poker.

Myself, I just plan on entering more tournaments, and spending at least 10 hours a week playing online...I've only been doing about 3-4 hours a week but have already turned $50 into $1100 playing $1-2 NL hold em online.

I played at a $5/$10 table right next to Moneymaker playing $50/$100 a few months ago. I see Paul Darden regularly at the poker tables. I'll 2nd Vito's suggestion - Limit Hold'em to make money.
