This is the longest time I've got my Windows running, 3 1/2 months , I don't know why, but I do believe the McAfee virus scan and Norton Personal Firewall got it running stable this long. There was a time when it had problems, had plans to downgrade to Windows 2000, but then XPSP-2 RC2 got released, then it went stable again till today.
I've just got myself a new ADSL modem plus 8 port switch for home networking, installed a huge fan on the side of my CPU which is so noisy, so I made a switch for it. Now its all working well, organized and cleaned the desktop, just love it.
Here's my current uptime on the iMac (pb doesn't stay up too long because I turn it off to save battery sometimes)

Welcome to Darwin!
server:~ svusr$ uptime
19:12 up 108 days, 18:43, 2 users, load averages: 0.59 0.37 0.08
No antivirus. Only the default OSX firewall (it's ipfw which is good, but i haven't configured it etc). Only time it was rebooted before was to upgrade to OS 10.3, which took 20mins and 4 clicks before I was back at the desktop.
There are still some small crashes that I notice in Windows, like switching through videos with Windows Media Player will cause it to crash and restart Explorer, don't know where the problem lies, switched to WinAmp, it's great and fast...
RC2 doesn't cause any problem yet since I installed it
I have a spare box with debian running on it with similar uptime to what phision.com has. No anti-virus there either.
On this box I have SuSE/XP, and let me tell you, you feel the difference VERY greatly.
For some reason SuSE is as stable as a rock, I never noticed the smallest problem with it, ever. 3 months now that its installed here.
while when I boot into windows, every once in a while there are slowdowns...

More than any time in history mankind faces a crossroads.
One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness, the other to total extinction.
