Church Website?
Could someone recommend a user friendly webhosting company on East Coast, USA?
I need help with registering DNS, hosting DNS, and providing assistance with uploading content.
Site shouldn't have too much traffic, and will be between 10-20Megs in size.
Thanks in advance,
GJ

East Coast?
akashik.net were very good to me when I was there - think their hosting from Florida in a Peak 10 datacenter. Some extremely personal customer care - among the best I've encountered in the business. If you're unsure of particular issues then I'm sure he'll be happy to help out.
I posted a review of them here:

hi GJ-AboveNet,
I am currently developing a website for my church, and my hosting company is Jaguarpc.com
Their customer support is good, and the owner Jag (he comes to this WHT too ) is very nice.

Do any of these suggested vendors have 30 day guarantees?
I do not want to take a leap of faith (pardon the pun) with a vendor and be forced to annual contract if once signed, service really does have it's challenges?
Thanks for all of the feedback.

One of my clients is www.umyf.net they do nothing but free webhosting for church sites. They've been around for a long while and are a good group of guys.

It is nice to know such a website.
However, if you want to have your own domain name for your site, umyf seems not to do that. If you go with umyf, your site will be something like:
umyf.com/~yoursitename
correct me if i was wrong

I was wondering why you need to find a company on East Coast specifically?
to me, it doesn't matter where it is in the US, if the company is good, i go with them
Another new hosting company which I have an account on but nothing done for that account of mine yet..
www.gladhost.com
Since you don't need much of space and bandwidth, this company is good. They also have forums that you could check out.

That would be correct. Peak10's been our home for a while now.

I just asked and they advised that they will do domains as well, no problem.

For the church website i designed ( http://www.gccmadera.com) we went with midPhase.com.
They have great support...everytime i need something, their support gets back to me in about 10 minutes.
I am opening another site in about two weeks, and i went with them for the hosting on that too!
