    Reset windows password

    is there anyway to reset the admin password (win 2003)? Please dont' tell me to format the harddisk

    You can create a "recovery disk" in case you lose the password. Other than that.. I don't know of any way to reset the password, even with physical access.

    on Dos, do we have a command that i can use reset the pass

    man, i'm too stupid that i made a too long pass and forgot it.

    Hello,

    On the Start Menu you can select Windows Security to change the logged in user's password.

    CTR-ALT-DEL will also bring up an option to change the password.

    Normally what I do is to use Yahoo to search for those commercial NT password cracker, they have a trial period, so I just use them to break the password. Save time and money. A lot available in the market.....

    This is the tool MS Doesn't want you to know about!
    I've used this personally to get me out of a bind many times, in fact, I always carry it with me, just in case .

    I Highly recommend it. I have had no registry corruption issues, and have found it to be 100% effective at resetting passwords on Win2k, XP, and 2k3 boxes.

    You do need physical access to the box to use this method.
