403 Forbidden
My site is being hosted by a very gracious friend whom is unavailabe at the moment. I do not have a cpanel, only secured FTP access to upload and such. If I have not uploaded an index file into a directory, it automatically defaults to 403 Forbidden. However, I would like this one directory to show the contents of the folder. How do I go about changing the permissions?
Thanks in advance

Unless you have shell access to this box, you problably wont be able to.
Having said that you can try uploading an htaccess file with:
Options +Indexes
or
Options +Indexes
IndexOptions FancyIndexing IconsAreLinks[url]I got nothing/url]
For clarity's sake, don't use "<ip address of hostname>" use the ACTUAL 32-bit numeric IP address of the machine.
