    * A very bad reseller host.....

Myself and many other people agree on this: Fatnetwork . net is absolutely the worst reseller host ever. They offer "unlimimted bandwith" and when friends of mine try to use some of their "unlimited bandwith" their accounts get suspened. I believe that this is very stupid and they are also a very bad host. I would highly not recommend going to them.

So the moral of the story is that no webhosting provider should offer unlimited bandwidth to begin with. It is false advertising. A lot of people buying web space know nothing about computers and how much space you can realisticly get. They prey on the weaknesses of those not in the know.

    I agree.

Unmetered bandwith is possible, while unlimited is not

Fatnetwork does a lot of selling on eBay - that's usually where they offer their unlimited accounts, that I've seen.

If you find a host that offers unmetered or unlimited bandwidth, I would be sure to ask what their connection speed is - i've seen hosts who sell the "all you can eat" bandwidth package but each server only has 1mbit or 10mbit going to it - good luck using your "unlimited" bandwidth when you are capped at DSL speed! If you are looking at a provider like that, make sure you ask what their bandwidth is capped at - are they on a 10mbit line, 100mbit line, etc etc. At least that might buy you some chance of not getting ripped off, although I still would not bet on it.

Great idea I just had for some enterprising 15 year old who wants to start up a hosting company:

Salad Bar Hosting - all you can eat bandwidth and disk space!

    Man, I kill me.

weren't you the one getting bashed for your unlimited hosting until everyone started to download 10 gig files from your site to push your bandwidth?

well at least now u understand unlimited bandwidth isn't possible

If you buy hosting with "unlimited" bundwidth, these problems are normal...

Run away from the hosts which offer unlimited bandwidth and disk space...

    Agreed! Searches will reveal that.

unlimited puts a 'bad rap' on the hosting industry
