I have to jump in on this one! ******************* is one of Level (3)'s largest providers of bandwidth. I know they have a direct relationship with Level 3 and have the ability to offer some very good pricing for the bandwidth. As far as I know they can offer L3 anywhere in the world providing there is an L3 POP.

Guys - I asked for suggestions of resellers, I didn't ask for everyone to PM me with offers...I hope the mods take care of you.
Hello. We've got connectivity to NAC who just recently turned up a pair of OC12s to UUNet (MCI) and a GigE to ATT. The pricing for a 75mbps commitment would be about 45$/mb on a 1 year term. This would be billed via 95th percentile.
If the thread starter perceives it as spam, then it is spam. That is a risk that anyone PMing offers takes. When in doubt, don't!, is a good way to tread in these areas.
Participants may not solicit users for any project or purpose external to the forum; public, private, or commercial. Most importantly our member base is not a resource to be "mined" by individuals, groups, or businesses, for profit or not for profit. Further; If you SPAM our members in any manner, your account will be disabled.
Originally posted by seane I don't understand! I was referring a company that we work closely with and I am now being penalized! I was simply answering the question!
"Anybody know the best resellers for high quality bandwidth?"
I hope you understand! Let me know if you have any quetions!
I don't understand this either. There seems to be no valid response to this question that the moderators will not censor, yet they will not just close the thread. If there's no legitimate response to a person's question that won't be censored, then why let people post on it?
You may think your company is the best, but that isn't what he wants. This isn't an advertising forum, so you can't recommend yourself. I am sure there are a few members who have used a service that match the specs given above
Don't get me wrong, I understand the aversion to ads in the thread. I realize that hosts may "encourage" their customers or associates to push their products on WHT. If it wasn't against the rules, I would be doing it right now!
The question I was trying to ask is, why doesn't the moderator simply close the thread if the only on-topic discussion for that same thread is against the rules of the board?
The original poster asked for hosting suggestions, and the only person who actually posted a suggestion had his post censored and I assume was penalized for it as well. I think that is unfortunate for the person who followed-up. Wouldn't it be more correct for the moderator to close the thread than penalize someone who was trying to offer a helpful suggestion?
Further, if the only way to reply is by private message, and the moderator will penalize people for sending a private message; when the original poster really thought they would get replies in-thread ... there is no "right way" to handle this except for the moderator to close the thread, and maybe penalize the original poster instead. Asking for hosting offers is against the rules of this forum as well, is it not? I just think the moderation method applied in this situation was unfair, and that the moderator should try to take a more correct approach.
Thanks Sean for the referral! Sorry you where penalized for anything!
I do not see where he went wrong. He was only referring us because we have provided quality services for many of his customers in the past. He was simply answering the question on the post!
So, I hope this is not perceived as an advertisement by any means. I am defending Sean and also my Company.
Also, I would like to apologize to MJ4589 for any confusion. Apparently, Sean's referral was perceived as spam. I assure you it was not! I can provide a sample list of satisfied customers that he has sent over if you would like! Of course I would need an NDA for that!
I look forward to speaking with you all in a much more positive post!
fantastic. I spend 150$ on WHT premium access only to get my PM abilities turned off without notification. Great customer service.
In my, and everyone elses, defense, you didnt say you didnt want offers. Usually when someone asks for something like this, they're atleast vaguely interested in what they're asking for and PMing wouldn't be a problem.
I feel your pain. Right now I am E-Mailing the mods to see what can be done. I have always conducted my business here at WHT and business in general very professionally. I am outraged that my PM has been disabled... especially as one of the first to support WHT and purchase a premium membership.
I'd be a premium member myself, but it seems like you're putting your money in the hands of moderators who are more interested in policing the vendors who are often just following up to posts that ought to have been be removed by the moderators in the first place.
Well, about the $35.50/meg Level3. You guys may want to look at the Nexgen incident. I'm not saying that the current resellers are pulling off the same show, but personally, I wouldn't go single-homed on them..but that's just me.
Originally posted by loopforever NDCTech is highly recommended. Scott is a great guy and support is very quick . Plus, for Level3 bandwidth, they have the best pricing.
Originally posted by HostXLnet I also agree NDCTech is GREAT
I _currently_ do not have services with NDC, but I must admit Scott has been very helpful while assisting my friend and myself with our questions about his services. From his support alone, I'd highly recommend him to anyone seeking collocation or bandwidth services.
