Becoming new reseller, advice/tips?
ended the mind boggling search for a good reseller by signing up with crediblehost and things are lookin pretty good
but what i was wondering is if people could give me a few tips or advice in terms of how i should set my plans. i only want to break-even for now so i can learn more about being a reseller without having too many clients to worry about and only focus on and provide good service to the few (about 5).
also i was wondering how would i offer users near-instant or instant activation without being on my computer 24/7
and how to bill my clients and if i need anymore scripts for being a good/successful reseller.

You might want to look at something like ModernBill then.
As for setting plans, this would be covered in that Business Plan you wrote. There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

I'm not sure of any program out there that can create hosting accounts automatically without having the root password? I don't believe Modernbill would function in that capacity without it . . . although I may be wrong.

From what ive seen its going to be very hard to run a webhosting company without being at your computer alot. People always need to talk to you about this or that and everything is very urgent to them and they wont go with you if your not there to give support.

You could use PayPal to allow your clients to send you money, or 2checkout.com

Re: Becoming new reseller, advice/tips?
Hi RaTz,
You might want to post this over at our forums also, as we have a pretty active community and I'm sure some of our other resellers would be more then happy to share with you what they use and recommend.
For billing you could try WHMAutoPilot, I know some of our other resellers are using it to semi-automate signup process.
Since I can't really tell who you are by your forum name here, if you want to send me an e-mail, I'll try and suggest some other things for you to.
