Is it a CGI script? 500 error means your script is buggy or there is something on the server like mod_security thats filtering possibly bad requests. More details, please.

    Hi,

    On your browser:
    Go to Tools >
    Internet Options >
    Click the advanced tab
Then uncheck “Show friendly HTTP error messages”
Go to the page that errors and you will be able to see the detailed error message, then post the error message here if you cannot trouble shoot it.

A 500 server error message means some of the code (php, asp or whatever) in that page is in error. The only way to find out the exact error is if you follow my steps above and see the detailed error message then post it here

Do that or just post the link to the site

We had a similar problem. This error went down and come back hours later.

We looked problems with CGI .htaccess apache PHP but didn't find nothing.

After we discovered the problem was with our ISP and not with our server.

It could be the same problem. Try another ISP

Is this happening on a specific page ? or is it sporadic?
Are you getting alot of traffic? It is possible that Apache is not able to serve a page due to being overloaded. Have you checked your logs ?
