    PayPal ATM/Debit Card

PayPal sent me an email today in their Business Bulliten.

One of the new things they have @ paypal is their PayPal ATM/Debit Card. I thought I would give it a try. Heck its Free.

    The email said:
    Access Your PayPal Account Offline

Join thousands of PayPal members who are enjoying the benefits of the PayPal ATM/Debit Card. Because it's connected to your PayPal account, you can access your money faster than ever before — even offline.

The PayPal ATM/Debit Card lets you:

Access your PayPal balance anytime with no checks, no transfers and no hassles.

Withdraw payments immediately at ATMs worldwide.

    Shop anywhere MasterCard™ is accepted.

Stay safe with zero liability for unauthorized purchases.

Sign up for your PayPal ATM/Debit Card.
    The Sign up link was:
    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we..._intro-outside

So I started signing up until I realized I was signing up for a whole new Paypal Account. I only wanted to sign up for the card...So I re-read all the information and I was supposed to login to my own account for more information. So I did. NOTHING about the card there. I clicked every link and searched every possibility and nada about the debit card. How are you supposed to sign up for it? Any help appreciated. I spent 40 mins looking so far...

Yes, the PayPal debit card is only available to US Account holders. Which means everyone else has to wait at least 5 working days to get hold of any money they have in their account

I'm in Canada and I got one. I remember I was having the same difficulties but I got around it somehow. I think I looked under the help and found some links. I'll check it out, but you should maybe email them.

The card is free, and it is worth it. I use it to automatically pay my host with funds that come in through PayPal. Very convenient, and there's 1.5% cashback (you may have to meet certain requirements). I've had it for about a year now.

This is what it says in the paypal help faq:

How do I become eligible for an ATM/Debit Card?

The international rollout is limited to very active Canadian users at this time. Based on the success of this program, PayPal intends to make the card more widely available. When you become eligible, you will see an Apply for an ATM/Debit Card link on your account overview.

So, it seems like they only give it too active accounts only. So, people have to be eligible for this card. Make sure your verified and everything.

I've had my PP Debit card for about 8-10 months now. I use it daily for everything from paying server bills, to putting gas in the car. That 1.5% cashback is certainly nice and really adds up over time.

I'm already on my 2nd PayPal Debit Card

I am also in Canada. The thing has been great, especially the 1.5% cash back deal. I'm sure if you send them an email you may be able to get the card.

Buy something with the card (used like a credit card, doesn't apply to ATM withdrawls or debit-type purchases), and 1.5% of the purchase goes back to your account.
