    Opening exe's in IE...?

I've been having a VERY annoying problem lately, thats preventing me from downloading my latest graphic drivers... Whenever a download starts (unless you right click/save as), it starts downloading to the temp cache, then it opens in IE (Theres no dialog, or anything - it just loads a page like normal - than it goes to a blank white screen with a broken-image, image at the top left).

Is there a way to fix this? Its getting REALLY annoying... Is this a setting in Windows, IE, or is it some sort of very annoying spy/ad/take-over ware?

well phision, since he uses IE it sort of suggestes itself. (spyware)

before I started using mozilla, every time I'd get spyware it would mess up IE in some way or other. be it the homepage, search or what not.

by the way, mozilla 1.7 is out...

I normally use Opera, but I use IE sometimes as well.

I've tried Mozilla AND firebird, and honestly can't stand either - Firebird is still incomplete

And I just uninstalled DAP, I use Flashget, but you can't use FG for some of these files (Well, I got the file, but on most you can't)

Oh well, I'll try this spyware sweeper and see if it picks anything up, that adware missed
