How many fonts do you have installed?

I have the default 26, since when I design for the web I like to know what fonts *everyone* will be able to see.

How about you all?

I have only the window default ones. For the special ones you usually use them only in graphics so everyone will see it anyways

over 2000+
there is a program called "the font thing", its free, and its just great.

lets you load fonts without installing them, so when I do my design work I just mount my fonts collection dir' and use those fonts, and when I'm done I close it.

google it, its a must have program.

You don't even need to have the fonts on your computer with font thing.

I just compiled a font CD with about 5000 fonts. When I do any graphics work I just throw the CD in.

wow blue, took me over a year to build my fonts collection... I thought 2000+ fonts was a lot, but you got me beat.

*bows head humbly*

we will probably use no more then 10% of our fonts, but who cares.

I'm a "font whore". I see a font I like, I download it and install it. I have well over 2000+ fonts installed. I use the font thing program - saves me time in loading PhotoShop with 2000+ fonts!

I have the default 80 Mac OS X fonts installed, as well as:

Myriad Pro
FFF Toronto
Steelfish
Bring tha' noize

When designing, use arial or verdana if at all possible. Stay away from helvetica and tahoma, as many computers (linux, mac) don't have these donts.

helvetica fonts are great! (they are not free however, but are worth the money in my opinion)

(save as a gif/jpeg to use it )
