    Question about hosting companies

    Hi,

Im looking for a hosting company to provide hosting for a business that is based in northwest usa. Im looking for a host that is in the united states, has excellent up time, good speed, and customer service that actually works. If anybody could suggest a good company, please do so.

I've looked at Rockethost and omnis so far.

I'm NOT looking for a $1 a month kiddie host that won't be around for more than a few months.

    Thanks for the help,
    Dennis

You didn't state a question... Are you looking for feedback about the hosts you mentioned? Or are you asking for a hosting recommendation?

Didn't notice the lack of question until you pointed that out, funny .

Anyways, are you sure your company wouldn't rather have a VPS or dedicated server? If you are a business with a large budget, and looking for security and support a managed VPS/Dedicated might be right for you.

There are many good and reliable web hosts around. Make a list of your requirements. Don't look for what a host can offer - look for what you need and then narrow down your search.

As already adviced.. make your requirements clear and as precise as possible.. for eg your budget, space, bandwidth, type of support, features etc..

I have a total of 6 web sites and they are ALL hosted with www.PEHosting.com. They have fantastic up time, nice u/l and d/l speeds. But what makes them shine is their customer support. They will get back to you and fix any problem within 12 hours. Even on a Sunday!

They had a total system crash one time. It happend on a Wednesday afternoon. Perhaps around 3PM EST. They lost ALL of the information on their server. They had to basicly rebuild the system. My service was in 100% working order by noon that Friday. That's support!

I think the main thing is to be able to have an idea of what your requirements are (disk space, etc) There are plenty of reputable hosting co. around. You might also try going somewhere and doing a search by requirement and see what results, and then come back to the forum for feedback.
    Try a search here:
    http://www.hostsearch.com/
    http://www.webhostdir.com/hostsearch...px?featureID=2
Of course research the potential host as thoroughly as you can.
Look for client reviews on their site or forums (if they have one)
and send pre-sales emails and see how well they respond.
    Good Luck...your choices are many!

    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/request.php
